Finally, What I've Been Waiting For

I have been working towards this photo for months! I go out and shoot the moon every time I get a chance, just hoping to get an awesome photo like this. So I went out tonight to capture the lunar eclipse, realizing I missed it, I still wanted to shoot because the moon just looked so beautiful. But I tried something different because I really wanted the clouds in this picture. I focused on the moon first, set my lighting right, and got a good picture of just the moon. Then I focused just on the clouds, set my lighting, and got a photo of just the clouds. I then put them into Photoshop and merged them into one HDR photo, and viola! It the photo I've been trying to capture FOREVER!

I LOVE the fall!

My sister is so gorgeous! We went out to the golf course today to shoot a few photos, and I got some great photos of her. Angel's Crossing is just to beautiful this time of year. Here's just three of the many that I got of her tonight.

This one turned out great, I love the coloring. I didn't even have to alter any lighting in Photoshop!

I love the birch trees in the background, but what makes this photo is the way that she chose to sit!

I have ALWAYS loved shadow pictures. So tonight when the sun started to set and the sky was filled with color, I captured this. I think it turned out great, but I would love to hear others opinions please!

I've gotten an obsession with the moon in the past couple of weeks, but it's just so beautiful. Last night it was especially captivating and after having a bad night, I spent about an hour outside just capturing the moon.

The Blue Moon 8.20.13

Tonight was the first Blue Moon in 3 years! A 'Blue Moon' is a rare second full moon in one month. This happens only once every 3 years. The next Blue Moon will not happen until 2015! So if you didn't get to see it tonight, here it is!
